MISSION STATEMENT
To provide education which is academically excellent and based on solid Biblical principles.

FCA IN BRIEF
Faith Christian Academy is a conservative, Bible-believing Christian school serving students from a variety of churches and denominations. We are not connected to any particular church or denomination. We begin at pre-kindergarten (K4) and go through 12th grade. FCA offers traditional classes (each grade contained in a separate room) and uses both the A Beka and Bob Jones University curricula. The high school program is college preparatory, though we also offer a standard diploma track for students who do not plan to attend college. Nearly 100 percent of our graduates are attending colleges and universities. About 75 percent of our graduates receive academic scholarship for college. Our Stanford Achievement Test scores consistenly run among the highest in the state and in the top percentile for the nation. We are accredited by several agencies, including the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the National Council on Private School Accreditation (NCPSA). The three foundations of our school are
    academic excellence
     Christian values
     a safe school environment

Our tuition is among the lowest in North Alabama for an accredited K-12 school.

Doctrinal Statement  (back to top)
• We believe the Bible is the infallible, inerrant, verbally-inspired Word of God and that it is, therefore, our final authority in matters of faith and practice.

• We believe in the eternally existing triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and in the creation of all that exists by a direct act of God.

• We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, where He now acts as mediator and advocate.

• We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His own, in His later return to glory with His own to reign in righteousness over the earth, and in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

• We believe that Heaven exists as a place of eternal blessedness for the saved and hell exists as a place of eternal, conscious punishment for the lost.

• We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation of lost and sinful mankind, and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born-again, having become children of God.

• We believe in the eternal security of the child of God.

• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, Whose indwelling of all believers enables them to live godly lives.

• We believe that all born-again believers are spiritually joined together by the Spirit of God and form one body, of which Christ is Head.

• We believe in and support the local New Testament Church, and hold that its two scriptural ordinances are baptism and the Lord's Supper.

FAQs  (back to top)
Does Bible training in Christian schools compromise academic training?
Absolutely not. Faith Christian Academy has been awarded full academic accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and has built a reputation for excellent academic standards. Additionally, our students' scores on standardized tests demonstrate remarkable academic performance. Actual test scores are now available online for prospective parents.

How does FCA's tuition compare with schools in Madison or Huntsville?
Generally, our tuition is significantly less than those schools. The Association of Christian Schools International surveyed Christian schools throughout the Southeast and, in comparison, FCA tuition is on the low side of average for other schools our size which offer similar programs. We strive to keep tuition as affordable as possible, regardless of what other area schools charge.

Are FCA teachers properly qualified?
Yes! Starting with kindergarten, all teachers hold bachelors or masters degrees in education and are certified in their respective fields. Our teachers undergo an extensive pre-hire criminal background check and drug screening. We also require that teachers live Christian lifestyles and comply with our doctrinal and philosophical standards.

How do your facilities compare with public schools in the area?
While our facilities are not as large as public schools (not designed to serve thousands of students), they are newer than most public schools, spacious, attractively decorated and well equipped. All our classrooms are virtually new. They were constructed in 1997, 1999, and 2003 respectively. All are carpeted, have central heat and air and functional new furniture. In addition, FCA features a state of the art science lab, new basketball gymnasium and computer facilities equipped with high-speed internet access. Our facilities were professionally designed by a Huntsville architect and meet or exceed all state and local codes for schools. Photos of our facilities can be viewed at various places on this website.

What are the student-teacher ratios?
We work hard to maintain small class sizes where children receive the kind of individual attention that fosters learning. Our larger classes hold about eighteen (18) students, though most classes have fewer than eighteen students.

Does Faith Christian Academy provide before school or after school care?
Yes. Extended Care is available to children enrolled in FCA between the hours of 6AM and 6PM, Monday through Friday. There is an additional charge for Extended Care, but the rates are generally much lower than traditional daycare.

Does FCA operate buses?
We do not offer a bus program at this time.

Do students wear uniforms?
No. We want to enforce a reasonable dress code while allowing students to retain individual styles of dress. A copy of our complete dress code is available to prospective parents.

Is FCA funded or managed by a particular church or denomination?
No. Faith Christian Academy is headed by an administrator and an independent school board. FCA seeks to minister to families from many different churches and backgrounds, and several denominations are represented in our student body. FCA's doctrinal statement is one of a conservative, Bible-believing institution. Faith Christian Academy is a private, non-profit institution funded by individual support and donations. Persons considering a tax-deductible contribution to FCA should contact the school.
