Open enrollment begins March
1. K4 - 12th grade enrollment is open to new students. Applications
are accepted all year and admission commitments will be made
starting on March 1.
Baseball season off and running. Training began
in late February for the spring baseball season at Faith Christian
Academy. Watch for more information about this exciting new addition
to our sports lineup.
Students win Ladies Civitan Club Essay Contest.
Three Faith Christian Academy students have won the Athens Ladies
Civitan Essay Contest. They are Ethan Hoback, Kathryn Harrison,
and Joey Osborn.
Faith Christian Academy students entered the Future
City competition this year and won a special project organization
award. The Future City project requires students to design a
new make-believe city and present it in competition.
New campus coming to East Limestone and Madison
areas. Faith Christian Academy is building a new campus in the
growing East Limestone area. The new facility will be situated
on eight and one-half acres located at 13902 Bradford Road, Madison,
AL. A Decatur architect is now designing the campus and construction
will begin soon. The new campus will open August of 2009. A new
K3 program will be added. The new campus will be in addition
to the campus on Sanderfer Road, and is designed to serve students
in the East Limestone and Madison County areas.
Mrs. Biggs Fifth grade class went to the spectacular
Cathedral Caverns in Woodville, Alabama. When we arrived, our
tour guide prayed with us and then proceeded to lead us through
the cave. He even told us humorous stories from the shapes of
the rocks. We were awed at the marvelous works that God has
made.
Our four kindergarten classes went to Tate Farms in October.
All of the children got to play in a big corn pool. Students
got to pet four adorable puppies. The playground where they
raced bicylcles was "awesome." Everyone got to ride
on the hay ride and pick their very own pumpkin from the pumpkin
patch.
Bump, set, spike! the Lady Falcons defeated Florence
Christian Academy and Tuscaloosa and played some great volleyball
to place 3rd in the state tournament. Sarah Robertson and Sarah
Jones were awarded with All-Tournament medals. Congratulations
Lady Fallcons!
