For by him were all things created....all things were created by him and for him."  (Colossians 1:16)

"And all things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made."  (Jn. 1:3)

"Remember now thy Creator, in the days of thy youth....."  (Ecc. 12:1)

"Remember" in Ecclesiastes 12:1 is a special word in the original Hebrew.  It means "bring to remembrance," or "cause to be remembered."  Similiar words in English would be:  recognize, commemorate, meditate upon, etc.  Young people are told to commemorate and recognize their Creator; give God His proper place!

The Scriptures plainly teach that God planned, designed and created the world and all that is in it.

Dr. Henry Morris used to say, "When Christ is lost as Creator, He will soon be lost as Savior."  You can't trust John 3:16 while denying Genesis 1:1.

Man made theories of "theistic evolution" attempt to teach that God created the world but used evolution to finish or perfect it over billions of years.  The first "life" was microscopic, single celled bacteria which required billions of years to evolve into multi-cell organisms--fish, reptiles, birds, mammals, primates, and finally humans.

But according to Mark 10:6, "In the beginning God created them male and female."

The Bible says that God created a wife for Adam and "brought her unto the man."  (Genesis 2:22)

Marriage was instituted between the first man and first woman.  "Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh."  (Genesis 2:24).

In stark contrast to what all forms of evolution would have us believe, the Scriptures say that the people whom God created could hear and speak (Gen. 3:10), reason (Gen. 3:6), work (Gen. 3:19), required clothing (Gen. 3:21), bore live children (Gen. 4:1-2), became angry (Gen. 4:6), were shepherds and farmers (Gen. 4:2), worshipped (Gen. 4:3-4), and had authority over "every thing that moveth upon the earth" (Gen. 1:28).  Hardly single celled bacteria, would you say?

In order to reconcile what evolution teaches with what the Bible says, the Scriptures must be denied, ignored, or imagined to be merely mythic or symbolic (in other words, not real).

Remembering God--giving Him His rightful place, and recognizing Him for what He has done, is the minimal recognition that man the creature owes to God the Creator.
