The Faith Christian Academy Robotics Team is led by Mrs. Kathryn Dewitt, M.S. in Engineering.  Students do more than learn the technical skills required to build a functioning robot.  They set up their own make believe "company" and learn to do all the things real executives would do on the job.  Included are:

  • Design
  • Marketing
  • Raising funds
  • Production of product
  • Planning
  • Demonstration
  • Competition
  • Developing partnerships with professionals and corporations

Students compete at the robotic competition each year at Calhoun Community College.  The FCA team has won many awards and have developed partnerships with some of the prominent technological firms in Huntsville, several of which help to underwrite team expenses.  Students in grades 7 through 12 are eligible to participate in Robotics.
