The Staff at FCA

FAITH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The four members of the Board of Directors have combined educational experience of well over 100 years. All of the board members are former educators with vast experience in both public and private education. We would like for you to meet our directors.

Mrs. Hazel Ruf (Treasurer). B.S. in Education from Athens College and M.Ed. from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Before retiring, Mrs. Ruf taught secondary mathematics for many years at Athens High School and taught mathematics and science at a Christian school in Tennessee for several years. She is a member of the Church of God.

Mrs. Ginger Murphy (Board Secretary). B.S. in Education from Athens College. Mrs. Murphy taught at Highland Christian Academy. She is an accomplished music teacher and choir director. She and her husband attend a local Southern Baptist church.

Mrs. Shirley Forsythe taught kindergarten and second grade at Triana Village Christian Schools in Huntsville before moving to a Christian school in Tennessee as kindergarten teacher, where she served several years. She also served as the after school director at another area Christian school. She attends Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Wayne Forsythe (Chairman) taught at two Christian schools in Huntsville and helped to found a Christian school in Tennessee. He attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville and later earned the B.S. in Secondary Education from Athens State University. He holds a master's degree in educational administration from Pensacola Christian College and is certified as all-levels principal by ACSI. He begins his 27th year in Christian education in August of 2007.
